This project will support vulnerable mothers in Ghana with essential baby supplies needed to care for newborns during the critical early stages of life. Many low-income families struggle to afford diapers, baby clothing, blankets, hygiene products, and other newborn essentials, placing both mothers and babies at risk. This project will help improve maternal and infant wellbeing by ensuring mothers have the basic resources needed to care for their newborns safely and with dignity.
Poverty and limited access to essential baby items make it difficult for many mothers in Ghana to provide proper care for their newborns. Families often lack basic supplies necessary for hygiene, warmth, nutrition, and infant care, increasing the risk of infections, poor health outcomes, and emotional stress for mothers.
This project will provide newborn care packages containing essential baby supplies such as diapers, baby clothing, blankets, hygiene products, and maternal care items for vulnerable mothers and families. It will also include maternal health education and support to promote proper newborn care and hygiene practices.
The project will improve newborn health and hygiene, reduce stress on vulnerable families, and support healthier early childhood development. Mothers will gain confidence and support during childbirth and recovery, while babies will benefit from safer and healthier living conditions. Over time, this project will contribute to stronger maternal and child wellbeing in underserved communities.
