As we enter the new year with renewed energy, the Study Aid Project has continued to progress steadily. This quarter brought meaningful engagements, academic milestones, and enriching experiences for our students at Albukhary International University (AIU).
Yazan’s Graduation & Hanaa’s Upcoming Milestone
We are proud to celebrate another milestone, with Yazan graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours). His achievement reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and growth throughout his academic journey.
Following his graduation, Yazan has successfully transitioned into the workforce as an educational consultant. At the same time, he is actively exploring opportunities to pursue a Master’s degree, demonstrating his continued commitment to personal and professional development. We look forward to supporting him as he navigates this next phase.
Joining him soon, we are excited to share that Hanaa is approaching the completion of her studies and is on track to graduate at the end of the year.
A key highlight this semester was her successful completion of her Final Year Project (FYP), where she worked as part of a group to develop an AI-integrated online ordering system for the university cafeteria - a canteen management system with personalised food recommendations. Over the course of 4–5 months, the team collaborated closely to design and build the system, culminating in a strong final presentation and positive overall results.
Hanaa has recently joined Puncak Perkhidmatan Kompleks (PPK) Sdn. Bhd. as an intern and is excitied to apply what she has learned while contributing to real-world projects.
In addition to these milestones, other students have also had a meaningful and active semester, and we are excited to highlight some of their experiences and achievements.
Adnan’s Enriching Field Experience
This semester, Adnan participated in a two-day village visit to Kepala Batas, Kampung Bukit Pinang in Kedah as part of his coursework.
He described the experience as both meaningful and memorable, highlighting the opportunity to engage with authentic Malaysian culture, appreciate the simplicity of rural life, and experience the warmth and generosity of the local community, something he rarely has the opportunity to encounter.
He shared:
“The village was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery that reflects the charm of the Malaysian countryside. We were also touched by the kindness and generosity of the villagers, who welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. It was a short trip, but it was full of wonderful moments and meaningful cultural experiences that will remain in our memories. ”
Ayoub & Sajed Win Best Pitch Award & Dean’s List Award
Ayoub and Sajed, both students of Business Administration, were awarded Best Pitch at the School of Business and Social Sciences (SBSS) Business Day 2026. The event, a one-day exhibition and expert forum held at the Convocation Hall under the theme “Innovate, Integrate, Inspire: The Future of Sustainable Business,” formed part of their Quantitative Methods course.
Their project focused on analysing the causes and percentage contributions of carbon pollution, as well as projecting future scenarios both with and without the implementation of proposed solutions. Through this work, they developed and presented data-driven insights addressing a real-world issue relevant to environmental sustainability. Their presentation was recognised as the best among their peers, reflecting strong collaboration, critical thinking, and presentation skills—particularly commendable given the academic challenges they navigated this semester.
In addition to this achievement, both Ayoub and Sajed were also recognised with a Dean’s List award on 8 April in acknowledgement of their high academic performance and consistent commitment throughout their studies.
Suad’s Journey in Media & Communication
This semester marked a meaningful transition for Suad, who recently switched her studies from Computer Science to Media and Communication.
While the semester was demanding—with multiple projects and overlapping deadlines, particularly during Ramadan—she found the experience rewarding and fulfilling. She shared that she enjoys the creative aspects of the course, especially storytelling and content creation.
A major highlight was leading a community engagement project, where she successfully coordinated sponsorships and distributed 100 food packages across three villages. Despite the physical demands, she described the experience as deeply meaningful and impactful.
She also completed several academic projects, including a podcast, a Raya campaign, and a Tilawah production—developing technical skills in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as studio production.
For her BTS Podcast project, Suad took on multiple roles as host, co-director, and editor. Through this, she gained hands-on experience in studio setup, camera operation, lighting, and recording—while also learning the importance of patience and teamwork in production processes.
In addition, her Raya campaign beautifully showcased Malaysian culture through a themed photoshoot celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, highlighting intercultural connection and shared traditions.
Suad is excited to continue building her technical skills particularly in video editing and further develop her capabilities in media production.
Looking Ahead
Overall, this quarter has been both productive and encouraging. Students continue to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and growth—not only academically, but also through real-world experiences that shape their personal and professional development.
The Study Aid Project has supported 22 students to date, with 8 currently remaining active in the programme. We remain committed to supporting each student on their journey and look forward to the milestones ahead.
