Nigeria has the highest number of children in the world who are not being educated; Nigeria's population growth has put pressure on the country's resources, public services and infrastructure. The population of out of school children in Nigeria has risen from 10.5 million to 13.2million With children under 15 years of age accounting for 69 per cent of the population, the burden on education has become overwhelming.
Increased enrollment rates have created challenges in ensuring quality education, as resources are spread more thinly. It is not rare to see cases where there are 100 pupils for one teacher. Students study under deplorable conditions including learning under trees and dilapidated classrooms. The government having failed to fund public education, the children of the poor are roaming the streets, hawking goods while the rich are educating their children in private schools at home and abroad.
Funds will be invested in the development of educational tools and resources. Upgrade school facilities in order to provide quality education for children across Nigeria. Potent life skills foundation will get out of school children back to school by providing the necessary school materials needed, understanding and acting on the multiple causes of the problem We shall Partner with youth and other groups to foster the importance of education within local communities.
Access to affordable and quality education, and substantially increase number of children in school. Eliminate gender disparities and provide safe, nonviolent, inclusive and effective leaning environments for all. Quality education is the foundation to improving lives and development towards quality. Bridge the gap between the poor and the rich, between rural and urban areas. Provide equal access to affordable vocational training, eliminate gender and wealth disparities.
