With the invaluable support from GlobalGiving, FACE has successfully provided shelter and food to hundreds of refugees and returnees who have fled Sudan in response to the ongoing crisis. As of mid-July 2023, we have witnessed a staggering influx, with approximately 16,000 returnees currently residing in South Sudan.
The situation remains dire, as an estimated 1,000 to 1,500 individuals continue to cross the border into South Sudan daily. Thousands find themselves without adequate shelter or access to essential services. It is imperative to note that women, children, and individuals with disabilities are facing severe limitations in accessing critical humanitarian assistance.
