For many adoptees, tracing roots is an important issue in life. A Group Roots-Finding program by Cathwel started from 2006, which was held every year originally but has been canceled for four years due to Covid-19. This year, Cathwel restarts the program, yet the quota is limited due to manpower. We understand many adoptees are interested in returning to Taiwan individually for tracing roots but stopped by financial factors. This project is to support them to embark on the journey.
With providing adoption service, Cathwel Service realizes the importance of tracing ancestral roots for adoptees. Cathwel started the Group Roots-Finding Program from 2006, which was held every year. With four years of cancellations due to Covid-19, we restart it this year, yet there is limited quota due to manpower. In addition, many adoptees are interested in returning to Taiwan individually for tracing roots but stopped by financial factors.
Many adoptees adopted through Cathwel Service are looking forward to making their roots-finding trips but being stopped by financial factors. In addition to a Group Roots-Finding program every year, Cathwel fundraisers for those adoptees not on the group program list. It supports them to return to Taiwan individually through providing transportation fare.
This project expects to financially support 25 individual roots-finding adoptees, who will benefit from this project and complete the puzzles in their lives.
