New Plans, New Dreams for Rural Women

By Patricio Marquinez | Program Director

As we begin 2026, we’re excited to share how our Women Empowerment project in Villa Ojo de Agua is preparing for another year of creativity, learning, and opportunity. The months of January and February were dedicated to planning, reflecting on what we achieved together and designing the activities that will guide us through the year ahead.

Very soon, we will once again open the doors of our workshops for rural women entrepreneurs, continuing to offer spaces where they can develop skills, share experiences, and grow both personally and economically. These gatherings have become much more than training sessions—they are moments of connection, encouragement, and collective inspiration.

This year, we have set two exciting goals. First, we want to expand the range of products created by the women, especially those that come from the rich natural environment of the local forests. Among the products we hope to promote are wild honey, chañar syrup, carob flour, and other traditional foods and crafts that represent the culture and knowledge of rural communities.

Our second big goal is to create an online marketplace where individuals and companies will be able to purchase these products. Through this platform, every purchase will directly support the women entrepreneurs behind the products, allowing them to reach new customers while sharing their traditions and skills with a wider audience.

Your support continues to be essential for making these ideas possible. Every new workshop, every product created, and every opportunity for these women to grow starts with people like you who believe in their potential.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are helping rural women turn their talents into opportunities and their dreams into sustainable futures.

With gratitude,
