When Water Becomes a Matter of Survival

By Jackson Ameh | Project Leader

When Water Becomes a Matter of Survival

For families recovering from conflict, clean water is no longer a convenience. It is the difference between survival and tragedy.

In Benue State, years of violence, displacement, flooding, and repeated disease outbreaks have destroyed the basic services that communities once depended on. Safe water has become increasingly difficult to find, forcing vulnerable families to drink from unsafe sources that threaten their health every single day.

The consequences are heartbreaking. Children suffer repeated diarrhoeal illnesses that contribute to malnutrition and keep them away from school. Parents spend scarce resources treating diseases that could have been prevented. Communities trying to recover from conflict face yet another crisis.

But together, we can change this story. GoGreen's emergency WASH response is restoring damaged water infrastructure and helping communities regain access to one of life's most essential resources.

Your Support Delivers Immediate Relief

Safe water for hundreds of children.

Reduced risk of cholera and acute watery diarrhoea.

Improved hygiene and healthier communities.

Long-term resilience for families rebuilding after conflict.

Every dollar you give becomes more than a donation.

It becomes clean water flowing where there was only desperation.

It becomes hope replacing fear.

It becomes a healthier future for children who have already endured far too much.

Please help us respond while there is still time.

Clean water saves lives—and your kindness can help deliver it today.
