Your Compassion Can Reach Families the World Often

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

While much of the world’s attention is drawn to the humanitarian challenges in northeastern Nigeria, thousands of families in Benue State quietly endure the devastating effects of conflict, displacement, and climate change. In communities like Ortese, families are working tirelessly to rebuild their lives despite limited access to the most basic services.

During our recent field visit, we listened to community members who voiced a pressing concern: access to safe drinking water remains one of their most urgent needs. Without clean water, children face increased risk of disease, school attendance declines, and families struggle to restore their health and livelihoods.

Clean water is more than a basic necessity—it is a lifeline that protects children from preventable illness, supports education, improves nutrition, and allows families to recover with dignity and hope.

Your compassion can ensure these communities are not forgotten. By supporting this project, you can help provide reliable access to clean water for families in Ortese and beyond, creating lasting changes in health, education, and opportunity.

Please make your gift through GlobalGiving today. Your support will help bring clean water, renewed hope, and the promise of a healthier future to children and families in Benue State who are rebuilding, day by day, against extraordinary odds.
