Summary

Recent internal conflicts in West Darfur, Sudan led to thousands of people being redisplaced from the current Internal Displacement Centers to new IDP Centers. Thousands of new families also have been displaced from their homes. Nearly 1.9 million people have fled to safer locations outside the nation. Therefore we are asking for your donation support to provide food, tarpaulin, clothes, shoes, blankets, and sleeping mats. We will utilize a portion of the donation to ship donated clothes to Chad

Challenge

On April 24th, 2023, a war broke out in West Darfur, Sudan; BBC World News stated, "The UN estimates that more than 100,000 people have fled the current countrywide clashes, with the largest number fleeing to Chad, just across the border from Darfur." This chaos led thousands of families to escape from their homes to seek safety in Internal Displacement Centers and some left for Chad at the refugee camps. They have nothing to eat or drink water or no place to sleep.

Solution

All your donation to this fund will directly go to the displaced people, therefore we are working closely with our team abroad to distribute cash assistance to the displacement families to buy tarpaulins, sleeping mats, blankets, clothes, food, etc. And since our board, membership, and on-site team are from the area, we can reach the displaced people directly and provide them with what they need the most, even in difficult times like this.

Long-Term Impact

The project will provide thousands of displaced families with some basic needs such as tarpaulins, clothes, blankets, shoes, food, cash assistance and other such aid relieves. Your support will go a long way relieving families from constantly wondering about sheltering and feeding their kids to have basic needs. This project may be the beginning point of recovery for many displaced people from the recent conflicts in West Darfur, Sudan and your donation will certainly help thousands of families.
