Namaste Everyone.
Its time for another report.
May I wish you all a very festive season and thank you for care concern and compassion.
Its is my duty to start this report with something very sad.
An adoption centre here in Gaya (nothing to with People First) has been closed down and four people including two women and the director have been charged with serious child sexual offences. Again, this happen… children already in difficulty have been sent to homes full of abuse.
The welfare department told us as some survivors of this terrible abuse were sent to the protection and care of Rescue Junction,” thank God for Rescue Junction where we know children are safe”
We have been very busy as usual a young boy somehow found his way on a train all the way from Chennai in the South of India . He was deaf and dumb but our expert counsellors were able to find his mother and they were escorted back home .
I cannot write this report without mentioning that the administrative director of People First Mr Rakesh Ranjan has been appointed as Chairman of the CWC ( child welfare committee ) the key child welfare body in Gaya District . The government took cognisance of his experience in child protection with People First so congratulations to him on his appointment to this very important role .
We need your help more than ever,
With Thanks
Riya
