RESCUED CHILDREN ARRIVE AT GAYA JUNCTION

As a valued supporter of Rescue Junction on GlobalGiving, you are directly responsible for giving vulnerable children in Gaya, Bihar, their childhoods back. We are excited to share a quick update on the incredible impact your generosity has made this past quarter.
Intercepting the Trafficking Pipeline
Socioeconomic challenges in rural Bihar mean that many children remain vulnerable to predatory labor traffickers. This quarter, our team assisted law enforcement in a major joint operation, intercepting a trafficking ring that was transporting underage boys to abusive factory jobs.
Following the rescue, more than 40 children were brought directly to Rescue Junction. Here, they received immediate trauma counseling, medical check-ups, and a safe place to sleep.
A Note from the Field: One of the rescued boys, 10-year-old Pinto (name changed), shared: "For the first time, I am hearing the sound of laughter instead of crying. They are giving me good food, education, and are working to safely send me home."
Because of you, Pinto and dozens like him are now safe, and our legal team is working hard to ensure the traffickers face justice.
Our Q2 Impact in the Field
Thanks to your ongoing commitment, our 24-hour emergency shelter near the busy Gaya Junction railway station continues to serve as a vital sanctuary. Over the last few months, your support ensured the delivery of more than 3,000 hot, nutritious meals every single month to the children resting in our temporary care. It also funded 24/7 emergency protection and immediate medical screenings for lost, abandoned, and trafficked youth. Furthermore, these resources strengthened our critical, daily collaborations with the Railway Protection Force and local child welfare committees, allowing our outreach teams to intercept children the moment they arrive at the station and before traffickers can reach them.
How Your Generosity Changes Lives
Every single dollar you donate translates to real, tangible care on the ground in Bihar. For instance, twenty-dollar donations provided three children with a full day of food, shelter, and medical care, while thirty-dollar gifts completely clothed a homeless child in fresh, seasonal outfits and shoes. Meanwhile, our larger pooled funds helped cover the intensive field costs required to trace families, allowing us to safely reunite long-lost children with their parents.
Looking Ahead
As we head into the next quarter, our primary focus is expanding our dedicated counseling staff for vulnerable young girls fleeing abuse and setting up early-intervention outreach at nearby high-risk peripheral stations to stop trafficking before it starts.
