Hi Everyone!!
I hope this report finds you and your family all well.
Nowadays Rescue Junction is extremely busy and with our new links with the national agency childline we are getting referrals from all over India, trafficked lost missing and children rescued from child labour. We have reunited 10 children from one place alone, Manali in the Himalayas and working with the police we have smashed this particular child trafficking ring.
It was our pleasure to welcome volunteers , mostly from the University of Lincoln in the UK who helped out at Rescue Junction for a couple of weeks in August. This was as part of our village experience programme which you can find out about on our website.
Another very important piece of news, you can see a photo on out FB page is that our Child Protection and Legal Services officer. Mr Manoj Kumar has just been appointed chairperson of the newly constituted Child Welfare Committee here in Gaya. This places Rescue Junction right at the heart of working with others in helping to develop child protection networks in Gaya district and beyond.
I want to say that ALL the money we receive from Global Giving goes towards helping the project. As restricted fund we are duty bound to ensure its careful use for the maximum benefit of the children. On October 17th Global Giving are matching donations up to 30%.
Thank you once again for all your support.
Sunita
