The war in Ukraine is still destroying homes, jobs, and normal life. Thousands of women have become the sole providers for their families. Many raise children alone, having lost partners, homes, and work, and were forced to start over in unfamiliar cities with no savings or support. Daily survival and constant stress leave leaves women with no space for learning new skills. Without targeted help, families fall into poverty. Children need safety, and mothers need a real chance to rebuild.
Way Home helps women in Odesa move from uncertainty to confidence and stable income. We provide sertified vocational training, business start-up support, employment guidance and childcare when possible, so mothers can focus on building a future. Women gain real skills, clients and their first earnings. Olena lost her husband, home and job. Through our program she trained as a confectioner, launched her own small business, and now supports her two children independently with dignity resilience.
