Dear Supporter,
For seven long years, Muhammad’s family waited for the moment they could finally hold their baby.
But shortly after he was born, that joy turned into fear.
Muhammad could not breathe on his own.
He was suffering from severe respiratory distress and neonatal pneumonia, requiring urgent intubation and admission to the neonatal intensive care unit at one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria.
There, our medical team began intensive treatment, including antibiotics, respiratory support, and carefully monitored feeding as his condition improved.
Day by day, Muhammad became stronger.
Eventually, he was able to breathe naturally, feed normally, and leave intensive care in good health.
For his mother, bringing him home felt like receiving her baby for the second time.
And you helped make that moment possible.
Your contributions help SEMA keep neonatal intensive care, emergency treatment, medicines, and lifesaving medical services available to vulnerable families who could never afford them on their own.
Thank you for helping tiny hearts keep beating and giving families the chance to take their babies home.
With heartfelt gratitude,
SEMA
