Support urgent medical needs of Palestinians

Dear friends and supporters of Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR),

As the holiday season approaches, we extend warm wishes to you and your loved ones. We hope this message finds you in good health and surrounded by joy.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who responded to our initial call for support. Your generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of those in need. In the spirit of giving, we wanted to share the incredible impact your support has made since our last communication. Your generosity has been instrumental in providing crucial medical assistance and medical rehabilitation services to those affected by ongoing escalations in Palestine.

Since the launch of the campaign, and through the generous donations received from our supporters, we have been able to procure essential medications, surgical disposables and emergency kits which were critical for responding to the needs of Palestinian patients. These supplies have boosted the capacities of our medical and surgical departments and allowed them to continue to provide life-saving surgeries and medical interventions for a total of 4,626 patients since then, 640 of which are inpatients, and 3,986 are outpatients.

In addition, despite the continuous closures and restrictions on movement in the West Bank, our dedicated staff have managed to welcome and serve 126 rehabilitation patients, who received multidisciplinary rehabilitation interventions and sessions, with the aim of enhancing their independence. This would not have been possible without your support, which has allowed us to procure the needed day-to-day supplies and equipment. Your contributions have directly translated into tangible improvements for these individuals and their families.

Our fundraising campaign is still ongoing. The funds raised have already started making a substantial impact, but there is much more to be done. Your contribution has been a lifeline for those in need, and we want to emphasize how much of a difference each donation has made in the lives of Palestinians facing adversity.
