Support urgent medical needs of Palestinians

As we enter a new phase of our ongoing campaign, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and generosity. Your contributions have already made a tremendous impact on the lives of countless individuals, providing them with the medical care and rehabilitation services they desperately need.

Since our last communication, your support has enabled us to continue procuring vital medical supplies, including medications, surgical disposables, and emergency kits. These resources have been essential in maintaining the operations of our medical and surgical departments at BASR, allowing us to deliver life-saving surgeries and treatments to those affected by violence in Palestine.

We are pleased to share that part of your contributions has been used to purchase a C-arm for our hospital. The C-arm is a crucial piece of medical imaging equipment that allows surgeons to visualize patients' anatomy in the operating room during surgery. C-arms are widely used in orthopedic, cardiology, vascular, neurology, and urology surgeries, reconstructive procedures, as well as ERCP (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), and general surgery procedures. This technology enhances the precision and safety of operations, ultimately leading to better outcomes for our patients.

The C-arm has been critical for the continuation of our operations, as it significantly improves the accuracy of surgical interventions and reduces the risks associated with complex procedures. The availability of this C-arm has allowed us to conduct more surgeries, thus benefiting more people in need of urgent medical care. By increasing our surgical capacity, we have been able to address more cases and reduce waiting times for patients requiring immediate interventions. As a result, more individuals have been able to receive life-saving surgeries and treatments. This advancement in our medical capabilities has already made a substantial difference in the lives of our patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Your contributions not only support BASR's immediate needs but also contribute to advancing the health sector in Palestine. By investing in essential medical equipment and resources, you are helping to strengthen the overall healthcare infrastructure, improving the quality of care provided across the region, and building a more resilient healthcare system for future generations.

Since the launching of this campaign, our medical teams have successfully treated a total of 15,919 patients, consisting of 13,274 inpatients and 2,645 outpatients. These individuals have received critical medical interventions and surgical procedures, thanks to your continued generosity.

Moreover, our rehabilitation departments have provided services to 426 patients, helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. These included physiotherapy, occupational therapy, vision rehabilitation in addition to speech therapy. The dedication of our staff and the availability of necessary equipment and supplies - made possible by your support – have been pivotal in achieving these positive outcomes.

Your donations have also contributed to enhancing our emergency preparedness and resilience, ensuring that we can respond swiftly and effectively to the urgent needs of our community. This ongoing support has fortified our capacity to face the challenges ahead and offer crucial medical assistance during these trying times.

As our campaign progresses, we kindly ask for your continued support. The journey is not yet over, and there is still much work to be done.
