Hi Everyone!
Its time for another update and we hought we would ask a woman from the sewing centre to write it for us,here it is!
My name is Hemanti Devi,
I am young mother and about 23 years of age, and I was married very young and I have four children 2 boys and 2 girls. The women in our village they are so happy to have our sewing centre in our village.
I have to ask my husband permission to leave the house even for market. I understand the women in other country have more freedom than us ,and life is here very hard .
My husband is a poor farmer and some time it is difficult to put food on the table.
I really wanted to know how much sewing centre means in all our village for all the women. It is the place where we can meet and support each other and learn useful skills. I have reached the stage where I have now can sew so well , I can apply for loan on very low rate to the womens self help group attached to the centre to get my own sewing machine.
This will enable me make my own children clothes and even sell in our local market.
So thank you so much for all your support and it’s a lot for me.
It means a lot to everybody here,
Thank you All,
Hermanti Devi
