Afrilanthropy has partnered with the Leonardo Group, Richeiro and local churches to distribute support packages to families in need. These families’ main source of income is from employment as street vendors or artisans, and as COVID-19 has shut down most of the world, they are at risk for extreme financial vulnerability.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors who supported us directly or through crowdfunding platforms such as GlobalGiving, we were able to help 300 families in Maputo and Pemba, Mozambique receive these support packages.
As pictured, each package contains oil, rice, flour, sugar, beans, onions, salt, and pasta, as well as soap. These essentials help families impacted by COVID-19, and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 throughout the area by allowing the families to remain safely at home and social distance.
Afrilanthropy has $8,918 remaining of the goal of $10,000. Please help us maximize the impact and support more families at this challenging time. Every dollar counts.
