In Goma, DR Congo, low-income women struggle to provide for their families. This project supports women initiatives through training in financial management, savings groups, and small business funding. By equipping women with practical skills and start-up capital, we help them build sustainable incomes and break the cycle of poverty in North Kivu.
In Goma, many women live in extreme poverty, relying on unstable small trade with no savings or financial knowledge. Without support, they remain trapped in cycles of debt, food insecurity, and dependence. Women carry the burden of feeding families but lack access to training, capital, and structured support to grow sustainable income.
This project supports women initiatives through training, savings groups, and small business funding. Women are identified, trained in financial management, and organized into savings circles. They receive practical tools, mentoring, and start-up support to grow income-generating activities, allowing them to build stable livelihoods and support their families.
Supporting women initiatives in Goma creates lasting change. Women with income invest in their children's education, nutrition, and health. Over time, this reduces poverty, strengthens local economies, and builds resilient communities. The project fosters independence, financial discipline, and long-term stability for families across North Kivu.
