Covid-19 continues to disrupt the lives of millions of Malagasy families. Unfortunately, thousands of children from low-income households are now already at higher risk for poorer health and academic performance Though this project, we will be supporting 100 kids from Anosipatrana where we will be giving food to ensure that these kids are not starving for 3 months. We will also offer health support as well as some pesonal development in order to contain this pandemies.
Thousands of kids are now at high risk because of Covid 19. Not only because of this pandemic situation, but a majority of malagasy community are really struggling to make their living right now. A majority of kids in our community are experiencing hunger, increasing the risk of morbidity and mortality. Because governement is poor and even worse are not supporting this community, kids are threatened of malnutrition but they might also be a vector of spreading this virus.
Through this project, we will ensure better nutrition for these 100 kids first to boost their resilience and lower their risks of hunger. Food safety is imperative for these100 kids because they are starving right now. Then we will be giving some health support (soap, face mask) as well as some educational support for them to help eradicate COVID. We strongly believe that nutritious support good health of poor Malagasy during this COVID and this might save lives and improve their well-being.
The NGO ank'izy has been working for 3 years within 50 communities all over Madagascar and has already targeted more than 10 000 kids. This project is a way to sustain all effort done within this communities related to the education and health safety. This is also an opportunity to target families who can be a great support related to the fight against COVID 19. This project is therefore bringing hope to 100 kids but their families also.
