Supporting 200 poor families in northern Syria

Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, displaced families living in temporary camps continue to face serious challenges in meeting their basic needs, especially access to food.

As part of our ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the most vulnerable families, our field team distributed a complete food basket to the family of the child Hatem, who lives in one of the camps in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. The family currently resides in a simple shelter inside the camp and faces extremely challenging living conditions due to displacement and the severe shortage of food resources.

The food basket contained a variety of essential food items, including rice, lentils, cooking oil, and other staple supplies that help the family meet their nutritional needs for a period of time.

When the basket was delivered, Hatem’s family expressed their sincere gratitude for this assistance, which came at a time when they were in urgent need of support. Such aid plays an important role in easing some of the hardship experienced by families living in the camps.

These humanitarian efforts would not be possible without the generosity of donors who continue to stand with families affected by the crisis in Gaza. Through your support, we are able to reach vulnerable households and provide meaningful assistance.

Thanks to your generous contributions and humanitarian spirit, we were able in the previous phase to provide 50 food baskets that were distributed to the most vulnerable families in northern Syria, helping to ease some of their immense suffering.

However, we would like to inform you that due to the decline in donations for this campaign, the number of distributed baskets had to be reduced—and the project itself is now at risk of stopping—at a time when the need remains urgent and continues to grow in camps and besieged areas.

We sincerely appeal to you once again to continue supporting this vital humanitarian effort and help us reach the many families still waiting for a food basket that could be their only source of sustenance and dignity.
