Daphe a sixteen year old girl living in Uganda, she was defiled and gave birth to a baby boy now 4 month. since then she has been subjected to repeated physical and psychological torture by her father. Due to COVID-19 pandemic stress at home, the father has chased Daphe and the baby away from the only place she calls home. we want to support daphe to have shelter, food, clothes and seed capital to start her own business and leave a free and dignified life with her baby.
GBV is on an increase during COVID-19 and Daphe is among the affected girls, she was defiled and gave birth to a baby boy now 4 month. she has been subjected to repeated physical and psychological torture by her father. Due to COVID-19 pandemic stress at home, Daphe was chased with her baby away from the only place she calls home. As the country is in the COVID-19 lock down and quarantine no one is will to house Daphe and her baby. there is an urgent need to help daphe in these hard times .
This project is intended to rise money to provide shelter by renting a 2 roomed house for six month and buy household items to start a decent life, provide her with enough food and milk for the baby, provide clothes for the baby and provide sees capital for daphe to start a small business after COVID-19 pandemic so that she can sustain herself. We shall also train daphe in business and support her to grow her business.
This support will see daphe and her baby get shelter and safety from violence and get seed capital allowing her to rise out of poverty and be able to provide for herself and the child.
