Supporting Homeless' Mental Health in Buenos Aires

[EN] - Challenges of expanding our outreach

As a result of the collaboration we have with therapeutic communities that support (and often provide asylum) to people living on the streets, we are able to collaborate with their social and employment reintegration processes.

In a coordinated effort between the mental health professionals of the different devices involved, we are able to identify the most suitable way to build meaningful support for each person.

With the inauguration of our new center in the neighborhood of San Martín, we will have the possibility of generating new and better articulations, since we will have a key territorial device thanks to its proximity to the communities of that locality.

This will also challenge us to support simultaneous accompaniment spaces in different locations, which requires more professionals.

With your help we will be able to convene them and provide them with an appropriate work space!

[ES] - Desafíos de expandir nuestra cobertura

Gracias a la articulación que sostenemos con comunidades terapéuticas que contienen (y muchas veces dan asilo) a personas en situación de calle es que podemos colaborar con sus procesos de revinculación social y laboral.

En un esfuerzo coordinado entre los profesionales de salud mental de los distintos dispositivos que intervienen se logra identificar la mejor manera de construir apoyos significativos para cada persona.

Con la apertura de nuestra nueva sede en el barrio de San Martín contaremos con la posibilidad de generar nuevas y mejores articulaciones, ya que tendremos un dispositivo territorial clave por la cercanía con comunidades de esa localidad.

Pero esto también nos desafía a sostener espacios de acompañamiento en simultáneo en distintas sedes, lo que requiere contar con más profesionales.
