This project by Adjah Cancer Support Ghana provides financial assistance, medications, diagnostic support, transportation aid, and emotional counseling for vulnerable women. Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Ghana. Unfortunately, many women cannot afford essential aspects of care-including diagnostic scans, biopsy tests, surgery, chemotherapy, and medications. The cost forces many to delay care until the disease is at an advanced stage. Transportation to treatment centers is also a barrier, especially for women in rural or low-income communities.
Adjah Cancer Support Ghana will provide direct support to women undergoing breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. This includes covering the cost of diagnostic scans, lab tests, medications, and chemotherapy support. We will also assist with transportation, counseling, and patient navigation to ensure women continue with treatment. Community education will help promote early detection and reduce dangerous delays.
This project will help women access timely, life-saving breast cancer care, reducing preventable deaths and improving survival rates. By easing financial stress and offering emotional support, we empower women to face treatment with hope and strength.
