This project will provide turbans, breast prosthesis when they are mastectomized, a sleeve for lymphoedema and an adequate bra to women in Baja California that will allow them to improve their image, reduce the risk of sequels and go through the process without so much emotional pain./Proveeremos turbantes, mangas para linfedema, sostentes y/o protesis mamarias para mujeres en B.C. lo que les permitira mejorar su imagen, reducir el riesgo de secuelas y vivir el proceso sin mucho dolor emocional.
In Baja California, the oncological units of Mexicali and Tijuana receive more than 4,000 cases during the year. The type of cancer that occurs in the entity in greater proportion is the cervical and digestive tract, but the one that is detected more is breast cancer, since it's the one that has more diffusion. Women with breast cancer face difficult situations, both personal and family, social, couple, work, etc., that if not present, would facilitate recovery or better results of treatment.
When a woman has breast cancer one of the problems she faces in terms of self-esteem is hair loss. That is why we want to provide turbans to women in Baja California that will allow them to improve their image and go through the process without so much emotional pain. We will also provide them with breast prosthesis when they are mastectomized, a sleeve for lymphoedema and an adequate bra (one that oncologists, senologists and gynecologists recommend) so that they do not have sequels.
The project aims to support 50 women with breast cancer by providing them with products that will be helpful in their process so that they can focus on their recovery, benefiting of course, also their families (spouse, children, parents ...). / El proyecto pretende apoyar a 50 mujeres con cancer de mama al proveerles productos que les ayudaran en su proceso para que ellas puedan enfocarse en su recuperacion, beneficiando por supuesto, tambien a sus familias (pareja, hijos, padres...)
