Thanks to the help of donors like you, we successfully completed the first semester of 2022 with our juventus program.
Throughout this year we have been conducting a transformation of the facilities of Juventus. Last trimester we managed to remodel classrooms with 50 new desks so that the young women can get their training in the most comfortable and practical way possible. The next renewal now went to one of our living rooms, where, with help of a donor, we were able to get new furniture, thus having two new sofas. Likewise, we renewed the cushions of the outdoor furniture.
We have created and effectively implemented the "Cultural Saturdays', at the same time. It consists of a get-together space for the Juventus women, which takes place every 15 days, where several of our volunteers have donated their knowledge on specific topics of their choice that are useful for the Juventus beneficiaries. Some of the topics covered in this space have been: Self-esteem, robotics workshop, cooking class, colorimetry, etc.
Additionally, we are very happy to announce that two Juventus women, beneficiaries of one of the scholarships we award, have graduated from their undergraduate degree. Lorena and Nataly completed their training in Juventus and competed for a 50% scholarship. Both were beneficiaries and decided to study economics and psychology respectively. We feel very proud to be able to promote the dreams of such incredible women
What’s next for the second semester of the year?
We started a new training cycle in Juventus, where the number of current beneficiaries is expected to increase by 50%. For the recruitment of applicants we have the assistance of the educational alliance, local parishes and allied schools that help us select each candidate according to their profile, in addition to voice-to-voice and social networks.
We have reached the final phase of the pilot of Innovate. Soon we will launch the certification course hand un hand with the Faculty of Education of the University of the Savannah, a modular certification course that seeks to develop entrepreneurial mentality in young people from grades 9°, 10 and 11° along with young talent in the business sector.
Without the support of our donors and volunteers, we do not have the satisfaction of seeing how Juventus Women go out into the world to build a better society, which is why every help we receive is of great value.
The Juventus Woman continues to count on your valuable support.
