In July a new nation, the Republic of South Sudan, was born. Since then, numerous reports have already been released that suggest impending genocide. This is a critical time for genocide survivors, those nations and cultures that have experienced genocide, and humanity as a whole. This news gives all of us the opportunity to learn from past atrocities and take action now to prevent recurring genocide. We have all witnessed the power of storytelling. It is more important than ever for us to continue to raise awareness of genocide and to share survivor stories.
3 Generations has been sharing a different story every week on our Facebook and Twitter. We continue to support the organizations we partnered with during our genocide campaign, and have enabled them to share our videos as well. It is these courageous stories that raise awareness of human rights abuse, preserve memories, and ultimately create lasting change.
