I would love to share this effort through one of our chicken project that we started in 2023. With 50 day old chicks and hope that it will not only provide funds to pay our teachers salary in our small school, but also provide much needed protein food to our children at the orphanage and school as well as savings to keep the project going.
Today, we have a total of 224 chicks in different stages of growth with the hope that we will be collecting many eggs to sell and keep our children healthy with much needed protein that their body needs for AIDs medicine to work well. Since they started eating eggs there's a lot of positive changes in their health, as they are healthy and stay long before visiting hospital and as well as concentrating in their learning and growing physically.
We are so encouraged by the progress so far and truly see God's hand at work in every step . The chicken project has not only brought hope to our small community, but it has also strengthened our resolve to build something sustainable for the future. Every egg collected is a symbol of nourishment, resilience and love for our kiddos .
The team here at the American Foundation for Children with AIDS thanks you for supporting this project and the work we do for the children in Africa. If you would like to learn even more about what we do or how you can meet some of the children you have helped, please contact Tanya Weaver at tweaver@AFCAids.org.
