Dear Supporter,
We are pleased to share an update on our ongoing efforts to build the Local Peace Resources Network in Syria, a collaborative pathway led by Peace Revival Organization to strengthen community resilience and locally driven peacebuilding.
In our latest consultative session, we brought together local organizations, volunteer groups, and community initiatives working on environmental protection and climate-related issues. The discussion highlighted the growing role of environmental initiatives in promoting community peace, especially in areas affected by resource scarcity, climate stress, and displacement.
Participants explored the close connection between climate response, responsible resource management, and the reduction of tensions within communities. The session provided a space to exchange practical experiences on environmental challenges facing different regions, and how community collaboration can help mitigate their impact and foster sustainable solutions.
The dialogue emphasized that environmental actors are essential to the Peace Resources Network. Their work raises awareness, protects natural assets, and encourages positive behaviors that strengthen social cohesion and help communities adapt to shocks. Together, participants also discussed ways to build a flexible, inclusive network that integrates environmental expertise into risk management and community resilience.
These ongoing sessions reflect our firm belief that community peace cannot be separated from environmental justice. Empowering local actors engaged in climate and environmental initiatives is a vital step toward building stronger, more resilient, and more sustainable communities across Syria.
Thank you for supporting this collective journey toward peace and sustainability.
