Education Is Becoming a Pathway to Peace - Thanks to Your Support!

By Faiz Alali | Projects Leader

Dear Supporter,

From the heart of local communities—where schools represent safety, hope, and possibility for children and youth—Space of Peace continues its mission to empower local actors and build a Peace Resources Network that truly reflects community needs and aspirations.

In our latest dialogue session, we brought together key educational stakeholders: school-based initiatives, volunteer teams, and youth-led organizations working tirelessly to support learning in their communities. Together, they explored a shared vision that places education at the center of peacebuilding.

The discussion highlighted the essential role education plays in rebuilding social cohesion in post-conflict settings. Schools are not only places of knowledge—they are spaces where values of tolerance, respect, dialogue, and acceptance are nurtured. Participants shared inspiring examples of how classrooms and learning centers can reduce tension, encourage open conversation, and shape a generation capable of resolving conflicts peacefully.

The session also emphasized the importance of the Peace Resources Network in connecting these educational initiatives, enabling them to exchange tools, experiences, and methodologies. By promoting “education for peace,” the network supports collaborative programs that blend knowledge, skills, and values—while strengthening the ability of local organizations to design conflict-sensitive learning activities that meet the real needs of children and youth.

These ongoing dialogues reaffirm a powerful truth: lasting peace begins with education.
Local educators and youth-focused groups have the capacity to lead long-term positive change, and with your support, we are getting closer to building a unified community-driven network that empowers education as a foundation for a more just, aware, and peaceful future.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for supporting the people who are building peace from within their own communities.

With gratitude,
