In our Support to Life community centre in Sanliurfa, a Turkish city bordering Syria, we find the opportunity to meet women who had to flee from their homes due to the Syrian conflict. Now they have to care not only of themselves, their children, and their family. This project seeks to improve the lives of the refugee women by providing a resourceful workshop, and their very own Brand, so that they can produce together, in solidarity, and gain economic independence.
In our community centre in Sanlurfa, we have the opportunity to meet Syrian women. Even though they find well-needed in spending time with their newly built communities, their households are in need of sustainable income. The prevailing challenge in Sanlurfa and elsewhere in Turkey is to develop humanitarian projects that go beyond immediate protection concerns, and help Syrian refugees gain access to sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Best way to build communities in solidarity is to learn together and produce together. Thus, in addition to our community centre, we are establishing a Women's Workshop and our very own brand of designer goods! We already rented our workshop, found a product designer, ensured the participation of 15 talented women willing to produce together! We begin with custom-printed t-shirts and will soon move on to other textiles & embroidery. Become a donor and wait for our quarterly reports for progress.

With every woman we reach out to, we ensure that their kids can go to school instead of having to work in the informal sector. With every woman we stand in solidarity, we contribute to the self-reliance of another household.
