The Noble Gift support Families in need in Poland

This was no ordinary year! The 24th edition of the Noble Gift will always remain in our memories and in our hearts. The events of the past year have shown how much goodness there is in people 

A carefree smile on a face that for months had been overpowered only by sadness. A long-lost sparkle in the eye. Tears in which there is emotion, joy and disbelief at the same time - so many good emotions spread all over Poland thanks to you! Dear Donors - thanks to you, the lives of so many people in need changed for good during the Weekend of Miracles.One such person is Ms. Zofia. 

Ms. Sophia took care of her ailing mother for a long time, never having started a family. When her mother passed away, her only companions for conversation remained her beloved... chickens. In September of that year came another blow. The flood took everything - her parents' memorabilia, food and feed supplies, her chicken coop, her favorite and only blanket. When volunteers arrived at her home, they found the 68-year-old woman sleeping on a flooded sofa, which neighbors had helped dry only a little. “It smells a little musty, but at least I have a soft spot back. The worst part is that it snatched all my chickens. I took some of them as friends. There was always some egg to eat, too.” When she opened the door on Miracle Weekend, she couldn't utter a word for a long time. She was greeted by the joyful bustle of volunteers and... clucking hens! “This is impossible, they are all for me?I'm so happy - the bed, the fragrant bedding, but most of all the hens! You don't even know how much this means to me,” she said, not hiding her emotion. 

Along with a supply of food and detergents, warm clothes, a new bed or pots, the families from the Noble Gift received much more: the attention and warmth of another human being, the feeling that they do not have to face their difficulties all alone. Families from the Noble Gift regained their dignity and relief from everyday life. 

All this would not have been possible without you - a wonderful pack of hundreds of thousands of people who decided to get involved in this year's edition of Noble Gift in various ways. In this difficult year, you were able to come together for a noble cause and together change for good the lives of those most in need. Your goodness never ceases to amaze - thank you!

WE are building! 

The XXII edition of the Academy of the Future has been started! And this means that the Academy wards have officially started their adventure with the program. 

“I discovered a new goal and a new dream. I would like to become a veterinarian” - replied 10-year-old Monika 

We opened this year's edition with the slogan “we are building” - because at the Academy of the Future we build community, small and large successes and self-confidence, brick by brick. The Academy of the Future is a space for the building of important relationships that make a difference in a child's life. One of these relationships is formed between the child and the volunteer, during weekly meetings. The other - between the child and the donor - affects the child's awareness that there is someone who believes in them. This is the first important impetus for building the child's self-confidence.   

Basia's story  

Basia was 11 years old when she began her academic adventure. As a child she faced many problems, she was shy, lonely, closed off, had no friends, and to top it all off she had learning problems. “From 1st to 4th grade, I heard from my classmates that I was stupid because I didn't know how to do something. Even the teachers said I was faking it,” - Basia says. When the girl was in the 4th grade of elementary school, her teacher came to her and asked if she would like to participate in the Academy of the Future program, the girl agreed and so began her academy adventure.  

During weekly individual meetings with the volunteer, Basia felt that she was important. She began to open up more and more to the other person and learn that despite failures and difficulties, it is possible to rise up and start again. “At the end of elementary school, my first friend appeared in my environment,” - Basia says.   

The Academy of the Future experience helped Basia believe in herself, helped her overcome her own fear and shyness, and gave her the self-confidence she has nurtured to this day. Today, after almost 11 years, Basia has returned to the Future Academy in the role of Volunteer to support children similar to herself from the past, to give them the courage to believe in themselves, just as her Volunteer once did.  

Children themselves may not know how to... be less afraid, how to find a friend or colleague, how to talk back to others, what self-confidence is. With the support of a donor, they will no longer feel alone.  

Thanks to your support and your donations, dear Donors - we can build in children their confidence, self-esteem and give them space to dream and realize their dreams.   

Thank you, for the fact that thanks to you, hundreds of wards of the Academy of the Future can go through life with their heads held high.
