By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing relief and recovery to poor communities affected by the eruption of Taal volcano. The eruption has wrecked havoc to lives and livelihoods of countless families and the problem is compounded by the fact that while these families are struglling to survive and recover from the disaster, the Coronavirus pandemic is another much graver disaster that is currently happening with still no cure or vaccine available. Now we are yet again facing the typhoon season and this will negatively impact local villagers. This reporting period we focus our attention in the provision of food packs to remote villagers who opted to stay with relatives and friends in neighboring towns not affected by the volcano eruption. We were able to provide 3,000 food packs good for 1,500 families. In addition to the food packs, we are able to provide them with a month supply of hygiene kits comprising soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and feminine pads for women and girls. Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
