Empowered Through Skills: From Training to Self-Sufficiency

By Dr. Betty Merveil-Ceneus | President

Yeimy
Yeimy

Greetings,

At a young age, Yeimy has shown determination, resilience, and a passion for learning. She dreams of becoming a professional stylist and building a sustainable microbusiness that supports her family and serves her community.

She began her journey by enrolling in a cosmetology course, where she gained foundational skills. Due to financial constraints, she was initially unable to complete the full program. Undeterred, she gained hands-on experience by working for four months at a beauty salon in Intibucá, developing skills in hair washing, ironing, keratin treatments, hair coloring, hairstyling, makeup application, manicure, and pedicure services.

Thanks to the generous support of her sponsorship, Yeimy was able to complete her cosmetology training and earn her professional stylist diploma. Equipped with her diploma, practical experience, and tools, she has now launched her own beauty salon, marking a major step toward economic independence. She plans to offer home-based and salon services, providing safe, high-quality beauty care while growing her microbusiness.

Yeimy’s dedication, humility, and strong work ethic make her a promising entrepreneur. Her ultimate goal is to achieve self-sufficiency while inspiring other young women in her community to pursue their dreams. She is committed to making her business a success and using her skills to create lasting positive impact.

Together, we are transforming lives through skills training and microbusiness opportunities.
