Update on ‘Electronic teaching aids for disabled children’
(Project #21529 from Balajothi Centre for the Disabled)
Funding goal :$2000 / Funds raised to date :$1189.77
Project report due on Oct 6, 2023 / Report sent on Sep 27, 2023
Dear donor,
This is an update on Balajothi’s children with special needs. We are happy to inform you they are doing very well in the area of learning and communication, using electronic equipment. Most of them are unable to hold and use a pen or pencil in a meaningful way and it is but natural for them to be attracted to using these electronic teaching aids.
Each child has been provided with an electronic key board which they use with the help of a caregiver, who spends time in training them to use it. Initially it was mere sound that was being produced but gradually they are in the process of learning numbers and alphabets through the key board.
Some of the children are now able to play the first two lines of the popular rhyme ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’.
YOU made this happen !! So, thank you.
With your continued support we would like to buy more (and better) keyboards. Please share this need with your family and friends.
Balajothi thanks YOU, DONOR, for your generous contribution of $1189.77 raised to date against the funding target of $ 2000. These funds are being used to add various equipment and tools and also to hire caregivers trained in music. Your support is working wonders in making changes in the life of these children. Thank you, yet again !!
Balajothi thanks GlobalGiving in their continuing efforts to raise funds for such life changing activities to improve the learning abilities. Thank you GlobalGiving.
