Dear Donor,
A couple of months ago, we started this project with the vision of providing each spedcial child at Balajothi with electronic aids. Thanks to your donation, we have taken the first baby steps towards fulfilling this vision. Rahul, one of the truly special children at Balajothi, now has a tablet (a Samsung Galaxy Tab). This tablet has truly changed his life. It is the irst thing he wants when he wakes up, and doesnt let it go until the tablet runs our of charge or its time to sleep! Even though he has extreme learning disabilities, he has learnt to use the tablet all by himself! He now watches youtuble vidoes, listens to songs, plays cool games, and sometimes just explores the device. Thanks to the time he spends on the tablet, we can even see a difference in his hand-eye cooridnation.
We really believe that electronic aids such as tablets have a critical role to play in the development of a special child. We are now exploring the use of such devices actively in teaching and vocational training. Thanks to your donation (and hopefully many others to follow), we hope to get there soon!
