Imagine students from rural Bolivia using computers and learning robotics! Teach for Bolivia works in 10 rural municipalities reaching more than 6,000 students from our 46 schools at the primary and secondary levels. Our educational leadership program teaches literacy to girls, boys, young women and young people using the STEM methodology through access to technology and robotics.
In rural Bolivia, schools are under-resourced and lack professionals in the areas of technology and robotics. Most of them do not have access to the internet. Children are literally lagging behind in the use of technology, compared to children in cities, and lack basic technological skills.
Our program has 47 professionals working in rural schools offering basic training in computer science, technology and robotics, reducing the educational gap between urban and rural areas. These professionals work throughout the school year training their students and the community. Generating projects with a systemic impact on the community and changing mentalities, the professionals work under 3 axes of gender education, technology and climate change.
Reduce the gap in educational quality between rural and urban areas. More students prepared to continue their studies in educational and higher education units. Students, teachers and the community will have the opportunity to obtain computer and robotics knowledge.
