This project is planned to support disabilities children, enabling them to undergo assessments by Prosthetics and Orthotics specialists. This ensures that the equipment they are using is well-suited for their developmental needs, facilitating proper physical support. Moreover, it offers fund for new equipment requirements, following expert diagnoses and recommendations.
Although there is various support for disabilities children to receive treatment and promote physical development, it is found that in Thailand and the ASEAN, these children do not have access suitable device. ZMF surveyed disabled children's devices and found that 70 percent are not suitable for their physical. It can cause walking and Self-help development slower than it should be. The device used causes more movement problems, such as injuries caused by moving under improper devices, etc.
ZMF supports children and the family had an opportunity to consult with a specialist in development and orthotics to have a correct understanding of how the right device helps develop movement in response to age and physical. We also funded the production of a new device suitable for children in need. Children can help themselves and live in society sustainably.
This project aims to give children and families the opportunity to talk to experts to have a correct understanding of the device and get a proper diagnosis to help the child's development. Within ten years at least 250 people will be consulted and 50 will be funded.
