Challenge

Since the State of Oklahoma cut funding for abused children of all types, has culminated in a huge gap in the placing of juvenile sex-trafficked victims. Currently the sex-trafficked girls are evaluated and placed in a foster home. This has been proven problematic as many of these young victims run away and return to the streets. Historically, foster homes are lackadaisical in their support of specialized services for these young victims. Approx. 180 under 15 yrs., per year, will need a home.

Solution

Project "The Day After Yesterday" will provide, a secure loving home for six recovered sex-trafficked girls 15 years and under. The home will be staffed by highly trained female personnel who will be highly vetted. Each girl will receive individual care in every aspect of their recovery, including but not limited to, counseling, education, interpersonal skills, life skills, health as required to bring them to a healthy productive life. Security of these girls will be paramount.

Long-Term Impact

Project "The Day After Yesterday" will bring these recovered children back from the edge. The horror they have experienced and endured will always be with them. Through counseling, loving personal interaction with adult women as mentors, will show them their past is not normal but the future will be their new normal. They will be become productive citizens who will be given the skills to be the best they can be. We will strive to educate and instruct them as if they were our own children.
