Program to assist low-income children K-3 students in their reading skills, helping to prepared them for the goal of the Alabama Grade-Level Reading Campaign by 2022. This is a required for all of Alabama's 3rd-graders to read at, or above, grade-level proficiency. Our tutors & space is limited to 10 student per session. Our goals is to have 3 training session per week with ten students per session. A Program "12 week budget boot camp" teaching intense training to take control of our finance
We are being proactive to the goal of the "Alabama Grade-Level Reading Campaign" is that by 2022, all of Alabama's third-graders will read at, or above, grade-level proficiency.
Our tutoring program is being proactive to assist our low income families of K-3 students. Through this program we will help low income students be reading at their grade levels by the time they complete the 3rd grade. It will give them confident and school readiness, preventing chronic absenteeism, improving our Alabama Reading Initiative, and summer learning opportunities for K-3 students.
The program will make a great impact on our student being prepared for higher education and be able to assist peer in their reading.
