The Impossible Poster: Inspire thousands in PR

This project aims to bring utopia into reality. With the support of GlobalGiving donors, Taller Salud has been working to inspire thousands of girls across Puerto Rico (and beyond) with a powerful message: the value they hold within and the universe of possibilities they can unlock to take on the world.

Often, when we discuss women’s rights, the voices and needs of young women and girls are overlooked in the conversation. Yet, if our mission to create sustainable change is to prosper, we must begin with them. This project ensures that girls’ wants, needs, and dreams are not only heard but also validated and celebrated.

Progress and Achievements

• Poster Campaign Launch: The Impossible Poster was distributed across our social media outlets, reaching thousands of girls and their families. Its design carries affirmations of power, possibility, and dignity.

• Visibility and Inspiration: The campaign has sparked conversations not only in Puerto Rico but also internationally, creating ripple effects of inspiration through social media shares and solidarity messages from other youth organizations.

• Fundraising Milestone: With $10,600 raised, we are now over 75% of the way toward our goal. This support has been essential in funding printing, distribution, facilitation of workshops, and transportation to reach rural communities.

Impact

• Girls Empowered: Hundreds of girls have expressed how meaningful it is to see themselves represented in public messages that affirm their worth and potential.

• Shift in Narrative: Teachers and community leaders have shared how the project has opened space for discussions about gender equity, self-esteem, and leadership in classrooms and after-school programs.

• Catalyst for Change: The Impossible Poster has become more than a poster; it is a symbol of change. It represents a cultural push to ensure that girls are at the center of conversations about the future of Puerto Rico.
