The Livelihood project provides workshops and training sessions in business skills, bookkeeping, commercial consultancy and management in order to further the women’s education and help their businesses for the future. These sessions further give women the opportunity to network and share ideas amongst the women alliance AFAWI has created.
In the first three months of this year, 10 new women were registered in Adenta. We also conducted need assessments and a financial literacy training.
In Afenyia we held a training on family planning and menopause with 20 women. All of them received a loan distribution in the amount of 1000 GHC.The Livelihood Project is one of AFAWIs most succesfull projects, running since 2012. AFAWI is able to run it selfsustainably on its own, and upscales the project regarding the number of participants once we get further funding for this.
