Feliz ano novo! Happy New Year!
For this report, we're going to share the Community Mental Health Movement's year-end activities to close out 2021 on a high note.
With the help of the students of the Sustainable Culinary School, the Community Mental Health Movement was able to distribute 50,000 meals in various neighborhoods in the cities of Fortaleza and Maracanaú. Every day, the students would get together to prepare and distribute the meals. 20 community partners helped with the distribution. In addition to offering meals, the Community Mental Health Movement was also able to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables, basic food stuffs such as oil and rice, masks, and hand sanitizer.
For Christmas, the Community Mental Health Movement offered a special "Street Solidarity Dinner," where 600 meals were served to community members in the form of a giant block party.
Hunger and malnutrition are real issues in Brazil and they've become bigger issues because of the ongoing pandemic. With your donations, the Community Mental Health Movement is able to combat hunger and malnutrition, create community, and provide livelihoods to many. The Community Mental Health Movement continues to do its part to contribute to the UN's goals of eradicting poverty and ending hunger.
