In Palestine, daily life is marked by instability and loss. For many children, growing up means facing hardship instead of hope. But even in the harshest circumstances, every child deserves the chance to dream. Trauma is not an exception for Palestinian children-it's a daily reality. Many have never experienced a circus, seen a performance, or had moments of collective joy. Access to cultural or recreational experiences - crucial for healing and resilience - is often out of reach.
Watching Palestinian Young Artists who perform seemingly impossible circus tricks can inspire many children and young people. It shows that through hard work, dreams, hope, and working together, any situation can be transformed into something beautiful, positive, and magical. That's where The Wonderland steps in: a magical circus show inspired by Alice in Wonderland, filled with acrobatics, whimsical characters, and stunning visuals.
Created in partnership with the Incandescence Circus Theater Company in April 2025, the show brings together Palestinian artists to create moments of joy, wonder, and laughter. Circus offers more than entertainment, it helps children build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Until July 2025, the show was performed 9 times. Our goal in 2026 is to stage 50 performances and reach 7,500 children and their families from across Palestine. For many, this will be their first live show.
