In April 2025, a group of Palestinian circus artists set out on a special journey to Spain. There, they joined European team in an inspiring cross-cultural collaboration led by the Palestinian Circus and Incandescence Circus, a UK-based company that had previously worked with PC in the West Bank.
Together, the artists spent weeks in rehearsal, sharing skills, stories, and experiences. Out of this exchange, they created a joyful circus show designed especially for children—one they dreamed of bringing home to Palestine.
The short documentary Wonderland, directed by Liam Arthur, follows the artists during their time in Spain. It captures not only the creative process but also the deeper purpose of their work: to bring moments of joy, hope, and resilience to children growing up under difficult conditions in the West Bank.
More than a performance, the show became a gift—a chance for children to laugh, dream, and feel free, even if just for a short while. Wonderland is a testament to the healing power of art and the strength of international collaboration.
