Parents of LGBTQ Children - Therapy Support Groups

At Mama Dragons, we know that when a parent is supported, educated, and emotionally grounded, the entire family benefits—especially LGBTQ+ youth. That’s why we created LIFT (Listening, Insight, Family Transformation), our professionally facilitated therapy group designed specifically for mothers of LGBTQ+ children navigating fear, grief, transition, or isolation.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, LIFT has provided accessible, trauma-informed therapy for parents who otherwise may not have had the support they needed. Many of our participants come from communities where affirming therapy is not available or culturally accepted. LIFT bridges that gap.

Program Highlights:

• Led by licensed, LGBTQ+-affirming therapists

• Small-group sessions for connection, reflection, and healing

• In 2025, our LIFT sessions have been FREE to Mama Dragons member —made possible by donor support

• Participants report increased confidence, decreased anxiety, and stronger relationships with their children
