Thanks to your continued support, we are pleased to share an update from one of our recent actions to restore schools in flood-affected communities. Together with a partner organization, we carried out a tree-planting activity at the school of Glinos, helping bring life back to a space deeply impacted by floods.
The floods caused significant damage not only to school buildings but also to outdoor areas that are essential for students’ well-being. The schoolyard in Glinos had lost much of its greenery, leaving the environment feeling bare and unwelcoming. Through this joint effort, we worked with volunteers, educators, and members of the local community to reintroduce nature into the school grounds by planting trees that will provide shade, improve air quality, and support long-term environmental recovery.
In addition to the planting action, we delivered a special educational presentation to the students on climate protection and flood preparedness. Starting with elementary school children, we focused on building awareness around climate change, environmental responsibility, and how communities can be better prepared for future extreme weather events. By engaging students at a young age, we aim to strengthen community resilience and encourage long-term, sustainable action.
This initiative is part of our broader mission to give new life to schools in flooded villages, combining environmental restoration with education. Your support makes this holistic approach possible. Thank you for helping us build greener, safer, and more prepared communities.
