Project Report

Project Title: They Lost Everything – You Can Restore Hope
Organization: Moses Welfare Foundation
Report Date: November 2025
Project Duration: 4 months
Total Goal: USD 150,000
Amount Raised: USD 720
Remaining Amount: USD 149,280

1. Executive Summary

In the blink of an eye, torrential monsoon rains devastated communities in Pakistan, turning homes into rubble and leaving families without food, water, or shelter. The most vulnerable—children, widows, and daily-wage earners—suffered the hardest.

Through this project, Moses Welfare Foundation provided emergency relief, including cooked meals, clean drinking water, ration boxes, and hygiene kits. Our trained local teams ensured aid reached the hardest-hit families quickly and efficiently.

This project report highlights our field activities, impact, challenges, and plans for future resilience, demonstrating how your support restores hope to those who lost everything.

2. Project Challenge

Monsoon floods in Pakistan are a recurring disaster, destroying homes, contaminating water sources, and causing displacement.
Key challenges include:

  • Loss of homes and livelihoods for low-income families
  • Hunger and malnutrition due to a lack of food
  • Spread of waterborne and infectious diseases
  • Limited access to emergency support in remote areas

Without immediate intervention, families face severe suffering and long-term vulnerability.

3. Project Objectives

  1. Provide life-saving food, clean water, and hygiene supplies to flood-affected families.
  2. Deliver ration boxes containing essential household items.
  3. Ensure emergency shelter and bedding for displaced families.
  4. Focus on the most vulnerable groups: children, widows, and low-income families.
  5. Promote hygiene awareness and disease prevention to reduce health risks.
  6. Lay the foundation for long-term community resilience.

4. Project Activities

From October 2025 to November 2025, the following activities were carried out:

  • Distribution of cooked meals and food packs to 250+ families.
  • Provision of clean drinking water to over 300 individuals.
  • Delivery of ration boxes containing rice, flour, sugar, oil, and essential supplies.
  • Hygiene kits distribution, including soap, disinfectants, and sanitary supplies.
  • Temporary shelters are provided to families who have lost their homes.

All activities were conducted on-ground by trained local volunteers, ensuring timely aid and accountability.

5. Project Beneficiaries

The project reached 500+ individuals directly, including:

  • 200 children
  • 150 women, including widows
  • 150 men, mainly daily-wage earners

Beneficiaries were selected based on need, vulnerability, and impact potential.

6. Project Impact

  • Immediate relief reduced hunger and malnutrition among affected families.
  • Access to clean drinking water and hygiene kits minimized disease outbreaks.
  • Families received essential supplies and temporary shelter, restoring dignity and security.
  • Children were able to continue schooling and daily routines, reducing long-term disruption.
  • Awareness programs promoted better hygiene and preparedness for future disasters.

This project not only provided emergency relief but also strengthened community resilience against future floods.

8. Challenges Faced

  • Accessibility issues in remote flood-affected areas.
  • Limited funding slowed down full-scale distribution.
  • High demand for aid exceeded immediate resources.

Despite these challenges, the team delivered aid effectively and transparently, reaching the most vulnerable first.

9. Future Plans

  • Expand relief efforts to additional flood-affected communities.
  • Continue distribution of food, water, and ration boxes until full recovery.
  • Implement community preparedness training for hygiene, disease prevention, and disaster response.
  • Establish long-term support programs for children and women affected by disasters.
