Burundi is struggling to provide relief to hundreds of thousands and protect infrastructure as floods cause devastation.

Thousands of people in Burundi have been displaced by floods caused by the overflowing of Lake Tanganyika, the second largest freshwater lake in the world by volume. The capital Bujumbura, which sits on the northeastern edge of the lake, has been badly affected along with other coastal towns and cities. Hundreds of buildings including hospitals and schools have been abandoned, roads and bridges have been destroyed, and residents have to use boats to move around.
The government of Burundi and the UN representative on the ground have launched an appeal for financial aid to deal with the “devastating effects” of seasonal rains which, exacerbated by the El Niño climatic phenomenon, have displaced nearly 100,000 people.
Like Save Life Make Difference we are in the same problem for responding this emergency situation
East Africa has been experiencing torrential rains in recent weeks which caused the death of at least fifty-eight people in Tanzania during the first half of April and thirteen others in Kenya.
In Burundi, the poorest country in the world in terms of GDP per capita according to the World Bank and one of the twenty countries most vulnerable to climate change according to the International Organization for Migration, the rains have been almost uninterrupted since September, instead of the usual two rainy seasons (September-January and March-May).
We continue to ask our supporter to take care this project because is helpful
For now we expect to get support because the situation is very critical for the country
we thank people who sacrificie for us to keep our project running and we hope our people will be Satisfies for your help
