An Update on Our Impact

By Lara Yunes | Responsible for Individual Donors

Dear Donors,

As we return from the winter break, your steadfast support has been the driving force behind the start of another promising year at our organization. We’ve welcomed new participants and laid out the schedule for our activities. Despite ongoing economic and social challenges, your contributions have enabled us to continue pursuing our mission.

Here are some of the key initiatives we've undertaken recently:

  • Presentation at Hospital Penna: Fundación Pilares had the privilege of participating in the training of child and adolescent mental health residents at Hospital Penna and Centro 1. Our program advisor, Lic. Maria Paz Moya, delivered a lecture on early childhood and parenting in socially vulnerable contexts, sharing our unique approach rooted in rights and community engagement.
  • Open Workshop on Women's Sexual Health: We held an open workshop for women in Villa 21.24 on sexual education and contraceptives, in collaboration with professionals from the COPIF program and their FortaleSiendo initiative.
  • Workshop on Child Health: Signs of Alarm in Respiratory Diseases: At our COPIF headquarters, we hosted a workshop with a pediatrician from CESAC nº 35, aimed at educating mothers and childcare providers in Villa 21.24 about the warning signs of respiratory diseases in early childhood.

Thanks to your continued support, we can keep providing these essential learning and growth opportunities to the families and children in Villa 21.24. Your ongoing commitment helps us create a nurturing environment where every child has the chance to thrive!
